Summary: This story takes place in during the 1880's. Winnie Foster is an only child in a well to do family. She is always being told what to do by her mother and grandmother. Winnie is always warned of the dangerous things in life. Winnie is contemplating running away from home, but often times talks her self out of running away. One particular day she does decide to go into the "wood" to discover what the mysterious music she heard. While walking through the wood, she stumbles upon a young man, Jesse Tuck. Jesse Tuck and his family have a very mysterious secret, and are very excited to share it with Winnie. Jesse, Miles, and Mae kidnap Winnie and take her back to their cabin in the woods. Winnie begins to fall in love with Jesse, but has a difficult decision to make.
