Summary: Vashti is a young girl who struggles to draw. Her art teacher ask her to make her mark. Vashti slams a marker on her paper, and her teacher asks her to sign it. The next time Vashti is at Art class she sees the teacher has hung her artwork in a frame above her desk. This inspires Vashti to make her mark in many different ways. At an art show a young boy approaches Vashti and praises her work. The young boy struggles with drawing just like Vashti first did, and it is Vashti who returns the favor her art teacher gave her.
